These are the original documents that I made and sent out to all of the possible donators so they would know what we were looking for. This list changed multiple times as we got new things in and would delete those. We also added more if we found baskets that needed something extra.

Event Flyer

This is the flyer that I created for the event. I sent it out to all of the members of the organization. I also sent it out to everyone that was on their email list.

The challenge here was making sure I had everything we needed on the flier without making it look like too much going on.

This was the second to last list we made of all of the items that would be up for auction at the event.

The final list is shown in the pictures below. The difference is that it is completely spell checked and written in a professional manner.

Auction Baskets

These are all of the auction baskets we created to auction off. The ladies and I collected tons of donations and pilled them all into baskets, which were then auctioned off for a certain amount of quarters.

Pictures of Myself at the Event

These two photos show me taking everything in as it had all come together. Also, the first picture is 3 of my coworkers, my father and myself. My coworkers came out to support the charity, my father and scott volunteered as part of our "Chick Support Squad" and I worked the entire event.

It felt so good that I was finally able to see all of my hard work come together and see what a difference it could really make for so many people.

Final Auction Sheet At Event

I ended up editing and finishing the auction sheets, but I only got pictures of them. This is one of the things I put the most work into because when I started them I had single items, then I was able to narrow it down to a couple groups of items that I could put into baskets. In the end, I had to make descriptions in order to make everything as simple, but intriguing as possible. This was the end result!

Final Result!!

We ended the night with lots of smiling faces and laughter. Motown Meals left with over 150 personal hygiene items and later we were able to give them a check for $8,078.32. Overall, it was wonderful!

Project Feedback

Kessa was very instrumental in organizing our auction items and securing auction items. She did all the data input of our auction items and organized items to put together in packages to create enticing items for better biding. She helped establish values for prizes, itemize them based on quarter bids and created a master bid list. She was helpful in setting up the day prior to the event and getting prizes organized for viewing. She helped stage the prizes for viewing by the public. She helped the day of by getting people to attend and participate in the auction, help work the auction, and she was in charge of selling the quarters to participants. She was very energetic and engaged and was an asset to the fundraiser and organization. We would love to have another student come in to help us in the future.                                                                                              -Tammy Brown
